For Providers

Precision Oncology, Powered by Whole Cells

Biopsies can be stressful, and for many patients they are painful, risky or impossible because of tumor location or overall health. CellSight™ gives you the key information about a cancer from a blood draw.

Why Whole Cells Matter

CellSight™ isolates and analyzes intact tumor cells. ctDNA assays capture only the DNA fragments shed into the bloodstream.

  • Phenotypic context alongside genomic data
  • Greater tumor specificity with less background noise
  • Better representation of tumor heterogeneity

Clinical Applications

CellSight™ supports decisions when traditional biopsies fall short.

At Diagnosis

When tissue is insufficient or inaccessible, or when a fast, noninvasive option is needed.

At Progression or Relapse

To identify resistance mutations and adjust therapy.

When Biopsy Isn't Feasible

For patients with high-risk comorbidities or deep tumor sites.

Actionable Results

517-Gene Panel

SNVs, indels and copy number variants across a comprehensive solid tumor panel.

MSI and TMB

Reported to guide immunotherapy decisions.

10 to 14 Day Turnaround

From specimen receipt to signed-out report.

Clear, Structured Reports

Designed for clinical use, with the CTC count for the accession.

How to Order

CellSight™ DNA uses a dedicated collection kit. Specimens collected in Streck or EDTA tubes cannot be processed.

  1. Create Your Account

Register your practice for Client Portal access. Existing clients sign in to order.

  2. Request Kits

Each kit contains CellSave CTC Preservation Tubes, a Test Requisition Form and prepaid return shipping.

  3. Collect the Specimen

Draw two 10 mL CellSave tubes, filled to the line. Invert gently 8 to 10 times to mix; do not shake. Label both tubes with patient information and the TRF number.

  4. Complete the Requisition

Fill in all fields: provider information, patient demographics, diagnosis and test requests. Place the TRF in the outer sleeve.

  5. Package, Chill and Ship

Place the tubes in the biohazard bag with liner, add the frozen ice pack below, and seal at 2 to 8 °C. Call the courier or FedEx for same-day pickup and confirm lab receipt.

  6. Receive the Report

Reports are released to the Client Portal in 10 to 14 days from specimen receipt.

Why Choose CellSight™

  • No tissue needed. A standard blood draw is the only specimen.
  • Noninvasive and repeatable. Suited to longitudinal monitoring.
  • Whole-cell precision. Insights that ctDNA alone may miss.
  • Pan-tumor utility. Solid tumor profiling across indications.

How It Works

CellSight™ uses a proprietary enrichment and recovery workflow to isolate rare circulating tumor cells from whole blood. The cells are then sequenced for tumor-specific mutations, amplifications and genomic signatures, without tissue.

Provider Questions

How is CellSight™ DNA different from a ctDNA test?

ctDNA tests sequence cell-free DNA fragments from plasma. CellSight™ DNA isolates intact circulating tumor cells and sequences the DNA inside them. The DNA we analyze has a known tumor-cell origin, and we report how many tumor cells were found.

What does the report include?

SNVs, indels and CNVs across 517 genes, TMB, MSI status and the CTC count for the accession.

What is the turnaround time?

10 to 14 days from specimen receipt at our laboratory.

Can I use a tube I already stock?

No. The assay requires CellSave CTC Preservation Tubes, which are supplied in the kit. Streck and EDTA tubes do not preserve intact cells for this workflow.

Can I order for a patient enrolled in a clinical trial?

Yes. Contact us if the trial requires a specific data format or report delivery.
